FanMilk stock price falls 10%; the first in weeks of continuous price appreciation

Share price of FanMilk Plc declined by 10 percentage points on the stock market on Wednesday.

According to a report by SIC Brokerage on the equity, FanMilk lost Ghs 0.50 pesewas to close Wednesday’s trading at Ghs 4.50 representing a YtD return of 316.67%.

The recorded decline in the stock, is the first in several weeks of witnessed continuous price appreciation in the equity on the stock exchange.

Unlike FanMilk, two equities – Benso Oil Palm Plantation (BOPP) and Total Petroleum Ghana (TOTAL) – at the end of trading for Wednesday, recorded gains on the local bourse.

BOPP gained  Ghs 0.40 to close trading at Ghs 4.80 followed by TOTAL which gained a pesewa to close at Ghs 5.02.

A total of 70,436 shares valued at Ghs 107,157.65 were traded between seven (7) equities with Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) recording the most trades and accounting for 29.2% of the total value traded.

The benchmark GSE Composite index (GSE-CI) at the close of trading slipped by 4.11 points to close trading at 2,851.90, translating into a YTD return of  46.88% as the highest gainer on the market.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) however, remained unchanged at 2,082.12  translating into a YTD return of 16.79%.
