Afrochella Concert didn’t disappoint as Ghana attracted performers, crowds from around the world – Harriet Thompson

The United Kingdom ((UK) High Commissioner to Ghana Harriet Thompson has lauded organizers of Afro-Nation concert in Ghana, saying Afrochella didn’t disappoint as Ghana attracted lots of performers and crowds from around the world with the 2022 edition of the Afrochella event.
In a tweet, she said “Been waiting a year for #Afrochella22 after missing last year’s with covid. It didn’t disappoint! As has become tradition, #Ghana attracts performers and crowds from around the world, including plenty from the UK.”

For his part, a leading member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Gabby Otchere-Darko said when it comes to events organisation, Ghana is among the best countries globally.

With a bit more deliberateness, he tweeted, “tourism and events organisation combined can soon become the biggest employer and forex earner for Ghana.”

He added “December is certainly the #MonthOfReturn for ravers to Ghana and month of returns for connected businesses.

”My only criticism is that both airtickets and tickets to events have been on the high side.

“Yet, patronage has been high. It means we can do even better if prices are cheaper.”

Dancehall artist Shatta Wale filled the stadium  with his show.

Rapperholic, Bhim Concert, SaminiXperience, were all a big sellout. Detty Rave, Little Havana, Afrochella and tonight’s AfroNation are all said to be sold out.

Meanwhile in related developments pertaining to the Afrochella, Meek Mill the American rapper who had his phone pick-pocketted has with the aid of the Ghana police retrieved it while arrested suspect have been picked by police.

“It was a night to remember at the just ended Day 1 of Afrochella and we present to you highlights of all the buzzing performances and interesting moments.

The event, which is described as a celebration of Africa’s diverse culture and the vibrant work of African creatives and entrepreneurs, staged a two-day concert that commenced on December 28th and will end on December 29th”.
