Stock market sees mixed results with gains and losses

Ghana’s stock market saw mixed results this week, with the GSE-Composite Index rising by 2.04% while the GSE-Financial Stocks Index decreased by -1.70%.

The market capitalization also increased by 0.78% to reach GH¢64.10 billion.

Throughout the week, 24 equities were traded, with some companies experiencing gains such as BOPP, TOTAL, and MTNGH, while others saw losses such as GCB, UNIL, GGBL, SOGEGH, CAL, and GOIL.

The total volume of shares traded was 1,913,758, valued at GH¢4,251,660, showing a significant increase of 112.06% in volume traded and 413.89% in trade turnover compared to the previous week.

The largest portion of the week’s traded value, 43.75%, was represented by GGBL, with shares valued at GH¢1,860,000.00.
