The Black Stars are looking to end a 41-year wait to win the AFCON trophy since last laying their hands on the trophy in 1982 but the team will first need to secure their qualification for the main tournament which takes place in Ivory Coast next year.

The two top teams from Group E will secure qualification to Cote d’Ivoire in 2023.

The qualifiers for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to kick start in June, 2022.
