AFCON 2023 Qualifiers: Ghana drawn in Group E with Madagascar, Angola and Central African Republic
The Black Stars of Ghana have been paired against Madagascar, Angola and the Central African Republic in Group E of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers, with the main tournament set to be played in Cote d’Ivoire next year.
The draw was conducted in South Africa on Tuesday at the Super Sport studios and it featured the 48 teams that had made it to the final stage of qualifying for the tournament.

The Black Stars are looking to end a 41-year wait to win the AFCON trophy since last laying their hands on the trophy in 1982 but the team will first need to secure their qualification for the main tournament which takes place in Ivory Coast next year.
The two top teams from Group E will secure qualification to Cote d’Ivoire in 2023.
The qualifiers for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to kick start in June, 2022.
