Ah Ahly complete roster for CAF Champions League quarter final draw

The roster for Tuesday’s CAF Champions League quarter final draw has been completed with defending champions Al Ahly clinching the remaining available slot following their 1-0 victory over Al Hilal of Sudan on Sunday in round six of group stage matches.

Ahly and Hilal were battling for the only available last eight slot, with the other seven having already been decided in the penultimate round of group stage matches.

Hussein El Shahat stepped off the bench to score the winner for the Red Devils, though a draw would still have been enough to sail Pitso Mosimane’s side into the last eight.

The victory saw Ahly finish second in Group A with 10 points from three wins and a draw, six points behind group leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
