Akufo-Addo redeems GHS 1 million pledge to Medeama
The Sports Ministry on behalf of government supports Medeama for their CAF Champions League campaign
President Nana Akufo-Addo has fulfilled his promise of GH¢1 million to support Medeama Sporting Club’s CAF Champions League campaign.
Following their qualification to the tournament, Akufo-Addo pledged to the Tarkwa-based side in August on their visit to the Presidency.
Medeama have started their campaign on the continental stage with one win from three group games so far. They have also lost one and drawn the other.
Medeama received the promised cash amount on Thursday, December 14, with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, presenting it to the club.
