Ampem Darkoa Ladies draw AS FAR, AS Mande and Huracanes FC in Women’s Champions League
Ghanaian Champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies have been paired with AS FAR Club of Morocco, AS Mande of Mali and Huracanes FC of Equatorial Guinea in Group B of the upcoming CAF Africa Women’s Champions League.
The Techiman-based club entered into the competition as winners of WAFU Zone B following a 1:0 win against Nigerian club Delta Queens in the final to win the Zone.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies will begin their campaign against defending Champions, AS FAR of Morocco before taking on AS Mande and Huracanes FC.
As expected, the Draw set up what promises to be another memorable spectacle of African women’s football between 05 – 19 November.
All eyes will be on the tournament hosts, Athletico FC d’Abidjan who have been drawn in Group A alongside inaugural champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, SC Casablanca of Morocco and Tanzania’s JKT Queens.
The format of the competitions sees each side playing against each other within their group in a round-robin format, with the top two finishers advancing to the semi-finals to contest a place in the finals.
The competition will be hosted in two beautiful cities of Cote D’Ivoire namely, San Pedro (Stade Laurent Pokou) and Korhogo (Stade Amadou Gon Coulibaly).
