Asante Kotoko raise over GHS 17,000 from their Virtual Seat Challenge in their match against Hearts of Oak
Ghana Premier League leaders Kumasi Asante Kotoko have announced that they raised over GHS 17,000 from their Virtual Seat Challenge in the Super Clash match against Hearts of Oak.
The club tweeted that they made a total of GHS 17,792 with fans of the club paying through Mobile Money, coming in from seven different sources.
Fans of the club who paid through Mobile Money generally was compiled at a total of GHS 4,067 with six other fan groups of the club giving for the remainder of the GHS 17,792.
The Kum Apem group, Loyal Red Army, Filtration 2 group, Asante Kotoko Warriors, We Talk About Asante Kotoko and Fabulous Zone were the other 6 fan base groups that contributed to the challenge.

A tweet on the club’s official twitter page read: “A total GHs 17,792 was realised from our special Virtual Seat Challenge last week.
Thanks to everyone who contributed!!”.
Kotoko introduced the Virtual Seat Challenge to enable fans of the club pay for seats at the stadium in spite of attendance limitations at the various stadia across the country with the government announcing that 25% of fans will be allowed into various stadiums.
The club’s supporters from all the 16 regions in the country have risen to the challenge all season, with the highest coming in last weekend in their match against Accra Lions.
Asante Kotoko have added to their collection of sponsors as they announced that Access Bank has acquired for them a Brand new 2021 Volvo Marcopolo B8R Bio-Safe Executive Coach which will be unveiled soon.
Kotoko play Dreams FC at home on Sunday as the second round commences.
