Assets value of ESLA Plc declines to GHS 8.9bn in 2022
E.S.L.A. Plc has recently reported its financial results for the period ending December 2022.
According to the company’s financial statements, its total assets for the period amounted to GHS 8.9bn, which represents a decline from the GHS 9.3bn recorded during the same period in 2021. The company attributed this decline to a fall in its receivables from GHS 5.8bn to GHS 5.6bn, as well as a reduction in its cash and cash equivalents from GHS 1.11bn to GHS 1.07bn.
Despite the decline in its total assets, ESLA’s total comprehensive income for the review period increased from GHS 91.3m to GHS 100.7m. This is a positive development for the company, as it suggests that its operations were profitable during the period.
It is worth noting that ESLA was established to issue debt securities to refinance Ghana’s energy sector debt, among other objectives. This suggests that the company’s financial health is critical to the stability of the country’s energy sector, which is a key component of Ghana’s economy.
Further analysis of ESLA’s financial statements reveals that the company’s liabilities also declined from GHS 9.2bn to GHS 8.6bn during the review period. This is an encouraging development, as it suggests that the company is managing its debts effectively.
Overall, the financial results of ESLA for the period ending December 2022 suggest that the company is performing reasonably well, despite the decline in its total assets.
