Benchmark GSE-CI flattens; market returns 47.61% YTD
Benchmark index, the GSE Composite index (GSE-CI) at the close of trading on Tuesday, flattened to close at 2,865.97, representing a YTD return of 47.61%.
The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also remained flat at 2,082.12 also representing a YTD return of 16.79%.
Trading on the local bourse for Tuesday, saw New Gold (GLD) emerge as the sole gainer as it appreciated by 4.17% on the market to close at GH¢108.60
The recorded gain in GLD resulted in a GH¢0.02 million increase in the bourse’s market capitalisation to close trading at GH¢64.28 billion representing a growth of 18.23% in 2021.

In all, a total of 530,246 shares valued at GH¢1,397,797.00 were traded among eleven (11) equities with GCB Bank Ltd. GCB) recording the most trades, accounting for 90.7% of the total value traded.
