Benchmark index records 6.76 points drop to close at 3,184 points on Thursday

The benchmark index of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE-Composite Index) declined 6.76 points to end the day at 3,184.64 points, placing its 1.74 % YTD return.

The GSE Financial Stocks Index similarly closed lower at 1,922.90 points, falling by 13.05 points.

DASPHARMA and GLD earned GH¢0.02 and GH¢6.10 to close at GH¢0.38 and GH¢245.80 respectively.

Conversely, ETI shed-off GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢0.15.

Hence, market capitalization fell to the GH¢74.60 billion mark. 326,397 shares (up 331.28%) corresponding to a value of GH¢343,336.40 (up 214.60%) were traded, as fifteen (15) stocks exchanged hands.

CAL trades dominated today’s session, trading 177,775 shares, surpassing the 106,169 traded in GOIL with a value of GH¢148,636.00.
