Benchmark index remains unchanged at 3,177 points after close of Wednesday trading session
The benchmark index of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE-Composite Index) remains constant to end today’s session at 3,177.54 points and a return of 1.51% YTD.
The GSE Financial Stocks Index likewise ended the day unmoved at 1,910.16 points.
There were no decliners nor gainers on this trading day.
However, market capitalization closed marginally higher at 74,505.43 billion due to AngloGold Ashanti PLC’s increase in its share capital.
Overall, some 2,817,300 shares (up 725.84%) corresponding to a value of GH¢1,671,557.33 (up 598.93%) were traded, as seven (7) stocks exchanged hands.
CAL trades dominated today’s trading session, trading 2,479,312 shares, surpassing the 337,028 traded in MTNGH with a value of GH¢471,839.20.
TOTAL, BOPP, and GOIL followed in the activity pile to complete the top 5 traded stocks on the day.
