Benzema is my candidate for the Ballon D’or – Cristiano Ronaldo
After the release of the 30-man shortlist for this year’s Ballon D’or awards, various stakeholders in world football have been keenly expressing their opinions on who they hope to win the award this year and to add the list is Portuguese and Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo.
The player who has won the award five times said in an interview that he thinks his former Real Madrid teammate Karim Mustapha Benzema deserves to win the accolade this year.
“Without a doubt, my candidate for the Ballon d’Or is Benzema. The best striker, brutal level for 10 years and champion above all.”

There has been a lot of talk around Jorginho, who won the Champions League with Chelsea and Euro 2020 with Italy, picking up the prize and this is in spite of the fact that the Ballon d’Or is supposed to be an individual prize, though most people tend to ignore that unless it suits their agenda.
Though he didn’t have the best year of his career, Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to be in the top-10 again this year.
