BetPawa GPL: Real Tamale United win at home against Asante Kotoko
Real Tamale United came from a goal behind to hand Asante Kotoko SC their second defeat of the season at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Saturday. .
Asante Kotoko dominated the first half of the game and were rewarded three minutes to the end of the half after Georges Mfegue put them ahead.
The second was not to be for the Porcupines as RTU picked up their momentum to score twice in quick succession in the early stages of the second half to lead the game.
Substitute Issah Kuka got his third goal of the campaign to draw parity for RTU in the 62nd minute.
RTU will go on to score the winning goal as Asante Kotoko committed a defensive blunder of which David Abagna capitalised on to slot home the goal that will surely ensure they took all three points.
Kotoko came close to getting the equaliser but Justice Blay’s header failed to enter the net as the ball hit the framework in the last minutes of the game.
The win lifts RTU up to 8th on the league standings as Kotoko remain 3rd.
