BoG: 107th MPC meeting to kickstart July 20
The Central Bank is expected to kickstart its Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meetings on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.
The 107th MPC meeting is expected to end Friday, July 22, 2022, with a press conference held on Monday, July 25, 2022, with the Committee maintaining or announcing a new policy rate.
The Committee, during the three days meetings, will review recent developments in the Ghanaian economy.
The review of developments in the Ghanaian economy particularly with regards to risks to the country’s inflation and growth, will inform the Committee’s decision to either hike or maintain or even reduce its monetary policy rate.
Currently, the Bank’s monetary policy rate stands at 19% after the Bank in its previous MPC meeting hiked the policy rate by 250 basis points (2.5%).
