Stock market closes at 2,551.74 points on Wednesday

The benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) increased by 0.76 points to  close trading at 2,551.74 points representing a YTD return of -8.52%.

The  GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also gained 1.39 points to close trading  at 2,187.03 points translating into a YTD return of 1.63%. 

Eleven (11) equities traded, ending with only one (1) gainer. Trust Bank  Gambia Ltd. (TBL) was the sole gainer as it gained GH¢0.04 to close at  GH¢0.44.

Market capitalization of the stock market for the day settled at GH¢62.24 billion. 

A total of 2,010,876 shares valued at GH¢1,792,397.42 was traded on the day.

Compared with the previous GSE trading day (Tuesday, June 7),  Wednesday’s data shows a 24,558.20% improvement in volume traded and 15,893.70% improvement in trade turnover.
