CAF Women’s Champions League: Ampem Darkoa Ladies handed tricky group in WAFU B qualifiers
Women’s Premier League Champions, Ampem Darkoa ladies have been drawn in Group B of the WAFU B zonal qualifiers of the 2022/2023 CAF Women’s Champions League season.
The reigning champions have been drawn alongside Union Sportive des forces Armees of Burkina Faso), Athleta FC of Togo and Bayelsa Queens from Nigeria.
Group A will see AS D’Abidjan (Cote D’Ivoire), AS Police (Niger) and Espor FC (Benin) compete against each other.
The qualifying tournament will be held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast from September 13- September 25, 2022.
The winner and runner up in the WAFU B qualifiers will represent the zone in the main competition scheduled for Morocco later in the year.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies will be hoping to achieve the feat Hasaacas Ladies attained last season, winning the WAFU Zone B qualifying championship and placing second in the main competition which was staged in Egypt.
