Commonwealth Games 2022: Joseph Paul Amoah wins bronze in men’s 200m event
Joseph Paul Amoah has won bronze in the men’s 200meter final at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
The 25-year old finished the race with a time of 20.49s to secure 3rd position.
This is Ghana’s first medal in the track and field events after Benjamin Azamati missed out on a medal in the 100m final.
Amoah also becomes the first African to win a medal in the 200m event since 2006 and the first Ghanaian to win a medal in 200m since George Daniels in 1974.
