ECG Resolves Technical Disruption Affecting MMS-Compliant Meter Credit Purchases

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) says it has resolved the technical challenge that disrupted the purchase of electricity credits for customers using MMS-compliant meters.

In a public notice issued on Monday, December 29, the power distributor said the challenge affected the purchase of electricity credits via the ECG Mobile App, the *226# short code, as well as selected third-party vendor platforms.

According to ECG, the issue has now been fully fixed, with all affected platforms restored to normal operations.

The company assured customers that electricity credits can now be purchased seamlessly across all available channels and apologised for any inconvenience the disruption may have caused.
