The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) says it has taken note of the recent power outages in the country which is as a result of some challenges being faced by the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo).
In a press release speaking on the recent power outages, ECG noted that the systems shutdown of GRIDCo has affected its operations in the Southern Zone of the country, but further noted that it is working with GRIDCo to restore power to all customers.
“We hereby apologise for all the inconveniences caused and wishes to assure all stakeholders that the company is resolved in carrying out its mandate of distributing safe, quality and reliable power supply,” read part of the press statement issued by the ECG.
The power distribution company also posited that, areas or individuals facing prolonged outages should contact its customer service centre on 0302611611 or report to the nearest ECG office to be attended to.
