Ecobank Ghana Appoints Alhassan Andani as Board Chairman
Ecobank Ghana PLC has announced the appointment of Chief Alhassan Andani as Chairman of its Board of Directors, effective March 26, 2026, in a move aimed at strengthening governance and sustaining the bank’s growth trajectory.
The appointment, according to the bank, marks a significant step in its efforts to deepen resilience and consolidate its leadership position within Ghana’s banking sector.
Chief Andani brings over 36 years of experience in banking and finance, spanning corporate and investment banking, financial management, strategic leadership, and corporate governance. He has held several senior executive and board-level roles within the industry and is widely regarded as one of Ghana’s most accomplished banking professionals.
Ecobank Ghana noted that his extensive experience and deep understanding of the financial services landscape position him to provide strategic direction as the bank pursues its next phase of growth and innovation.
Managing Director of Ecobank Ghana, Abena Osei-Poku, in a statement, expressed confidence in the new Board Chairman’s ability to provide leadership at a critical time for the bank.
