The Egyptian Stock Exchange’s (EGX) indices witnessed mixed performance on June 20th.
The benchmark index EGX 30 decreased 0.69% to close at 9,797.91 points.
The small and medium-sized enterprises index EGX 70 went up 1.49% to close at 2,329.53 points, while the broader index EGX 100 closed at 3,255.34 points, marking an increase of 1%.
Trading volume reached 467 million shares executed through 48,678 transactions, with a total value of EGP 1.347 billion. Market capitalization amounted to EGP 632.287 billion.
Egyptian investors made up 89.99% of total transactions, while foreign and Arab investors accounted for 3.24% and 6.78%, respectively.
Individuals represented 86.61% of total trades, while institutions contributed to 13.38%.
The top five performers by trading volume were Beltone Financial, Orascom Investment Holding, Lift Slab Misr, Atlas for Investment, and Arabia Investments Holding.
However, the worst top performers by price were Beltone Financial, Ceramica Remas, ICON, Egyptians for Housing, and Marsa Marsa Alam
