The Egyptian Stock Exchange’s (EGX) indices witnessed mixed performance on April 15.
The benchmark index EGX 30 increased 0.27% to close at 10,143.21 points.
The small and medium-sized enterprises index EGX 70 went down 0.68% to close at 1,820.99 points, while the broader index EGX 100 closed at 2,716.03 points, marking a decrease of 0.64%.
Trading volume reached 402 million shares executed through 29,744 transactions, with a total value of EGP 898.5 million. Market capitalization amounted to EGP 630.879 billion.
Egyptian investors made up 78.32% of total transactions, while foreign and Arab investors accounted for 14.24% and 7.44%, respectively.
Individuals represented 66.20% of total trades, while institutions contributed to 33.79%.
The top five performers by trading volume were Orascom Investment Holding, Arab Company for Asset Management, Dice Sport, Orascom Financial Holding, and Atlas for Investment.
However, the worst top performers by price were El Obour Company for Real Estate, Memphis Pharmaceutical, Alexandria Spinning and Weaving Company (Spinalex), Sharm Dreams Company for Tourism Investment, and Arab Company for Asset Management.
