Eni Ghana, on behalf of the OCTP Joint Venture, delivered medical equipment to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to enhance its capacity to provide support to Ghanaians in the fight against Covid-19. It is aimed at providing immediate relief and lasting support to Ghana’s health care delivery system.
The equipment includes a 30-bed capacity medical tent, 4 prefabricated washrooms/bathrooms for patients housed in the tent, 20 vital signs monitors and 2 portable ultrasound machines with cardiac probe.
This donation is part of an overall initiative of about $900,000 by Eni Ghana and its partners in the OCTP project – Vitol and GNPC, and is designed to strengthen Ghana’s health care system to be able to respond to the health needs of the people in an efficient and effective manner.
Similarly, last year Eni Ghana and its partners, Vitol and GNPC, donated to the Ghana Health Service, St Martins De Porres Hospital in Eikwe and the Ellembelle District Health Directorate, medical equipment and personal protective equipment to help in the management of COVID-19 in the country.

The gas produced from OCTP’s Sankofa field ensures reliable, stable and sustainable fuel for Ghana’s power plants, with a positive impact for the country: it develops local production, enhances
access to energy, crates skills, jobs, revenues and royalties, while reducing reliance on imported fuel which weighs negatively on the balance of payments.
