- Ethereum and Solana Lead Buying Activity on Blockchain Trading Account
Buying activity dominated trading across major digital assets on the Blockchain Trading Account over the past seven days, with Solana, Ethereum and XRP recording some of the strongest buy-side momentum as of May 7, 2026.
According to the trading data, Solana posted the highest buying share among the listed assets, with 81.57% of trading activity on the buy side, compared with 18.43% on the sell side.
Ethereum followed closely, with 81.27% buying and 18.73% selling, suggesting sustained demand for the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market relevance.
XRP also recorded strong buying interest, with 76.50% of activity tilted toward purchases, compared with 23.50% selling.
The data also showed a strong buying bias in USDC, where purchases accounted for 76.47% of activity, while selling stood at 23.53%. The trend suggests that traders were not only positioning in volatile crypto assets, but also maintaining exposure to dollar-linked stablecoins.
USDT, another major stablecoin, recorded 60.21% buying activity and 39.79% selling, indicating comparatively more balanced trading than Ethereum, Solana, XRP and USDC.
Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency, recorded the weakest buying tilt among the listed tokens, although purchases still exceeded sales. Buying accounted for 57.79% of BTC trading activity, while selling stood at 42.21%.
The pattern suggests that traders were more aggressive in accumulating selected altcoins than Bitcoin during the review period. Solana and Ethereum’s strong buy ratios may reflect renewed appetite for blockchain assets linked to decentralised applications, smart contracts, liquidity, and broader ecosystem activity.
The strong buy-side readings across XRP and stablecoins also point to a market where investors may be repositioning across both risk assets and liquidity instruments.
However, the figures reflect trading activity over a seven-day period and should not be read as a full measure of market direction or long-term investor conviction. Crypto markets remain highly volatile, with buying and selling sentiment often shifting quickly in response to regulation, liquidity conditions, macroeconomic data, exchange flows and broader risk appetite.
Still, the data show a clear short-term theme: traders on the Blockchain Trading Account leaned strongly toward accumulation, with Solana and Ethereum leading the buying momentum.
