ETI gains 12.5% on the Accra bourse; emerge sole gainer on the stock market

Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) emerged as the sole equity gainer on the local bourse at the end of trading session on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

Stocks of ETI appreciated by 12.5% to close at GHS 0.09 from an opening price of GHS 0.08 translating into a YTD price change of 12.5%.

Market capitalization of the stock market on the back of the share price appreciation of ETI increased by GHS 240.68 million to close trading at GHS 64.46 billion representing a growth of 18.55%. 

The benchmark GSE Composite index (GSE-CI) at the close of day marginally improved by 7.19 points to close trading at 2,866.76 which translates into a  YTD return of 47.65%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also improved by 13.05 points to close trading at 2,091.38 points translating into a YTD return of 17.31%.

At the close of trading on Tuesday, a total of 1,110,671 shares valued at  GHS 1,106At ,621.83 was traded in sixteen (16) equities, a sharp increase  compared to Monday’s volume of 21,877 shares valued at GHS 19,140.72.

MTNGh recorded the largest share of trades, accounting for 94.2% and 78.2% of the total value and total volume  traded respectively.
