FanMilk continues decline in share price for second day running

FanMilk PLC. (FML) declined in share price for the second day in a row as it lost GHS 0.35 to close at GHS 3.22 from an opening stock price of GHS 3.57.

A further decline by 9.80 percentage points.

The stock on Wednesday, January 26 – yesterday – declined in share price by some 9.52% falling from a share price of GHS 3.95 and ending trading session at GHS 3.57.

The equity on the back of the share price loss on Tuesday, posted a year-to-date share price loss of 10.75%.

With the decline in share price for the second day, the equity’s year-to-date decline has worsened to 19.50%

On the back of the decline in FanMilk, the benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) declined by 3.88 points at the third trading day of the week to close at 2,781.42 representing a YTD return of-0.28%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) however remained flat to close trading at 2,154.03 translating into a YTD return of 0.10%.

As a result, market capitalization shed GHS 40.67 million to close at GHS 64.41 billion.

Meanwhile, a total of 3,283,919 shares valued at GHS 3,705,186.50 were traded in six (06) equities compared to 124,661 shares valued at GH¢245,319.99 which changed hands on Tuesday.

Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) recorded the lion’s share of trades as it accounted for 97.9% of the total value traded on the day.
