Formula One to Host Historic Launch Event for 2025 Season at London’s O2 Arena
Formula One is set to sell tickets for an unprecedented 2025 season launch event featuring all teams and drivers at London’s O2 Arena on February 18, coinciding with the championship’s 75th anniversary. Tickets go on sale on November 15, priced between £58 and £113.
The two-hour extravaganza, which will include additional entertainment, will also be broadcast live. F1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali emphasized the significance of the event, stating, “For the first time we will bring together our fans, all 20 superstars of our sport and some very special guests to officially kick off our new season and mark our 75th year of racing.”
Traditionally, the 10 teams hold individual launches—often virtual—for their new car liveries, inviting sponsors and media to their factories or other venues, along with select fans.
Notably, Ferrari, the only team to have participated since the championship’s inception, usually unveils its new car in Italy. However, the 2025 season marks a milestone as it will be their first with Britain’s seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.
This season will also be the last under the current engine regulations, with significant driver changes, including Hamilton’s transition from Mercedes. Additionally, at least four young rookies are set to make their debut: Britain’s Oliver Bearman at Haas, Italy’s Kimi Antonelli at Mercedes, Australia’s Jack Doohan at Alpine, and Brazil’s Gabriel Bortoleto at Sauber.
