GACL Partners Ethiopian Airlines to Launch Direct Kumasi-London Flight

The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), in collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines, has announced the launch of a direct flight service connecting the Prempeh I International Airport in Kumasi to Gatwick Airport in London.

Set to commence on December 3, 2024, this new route marks a historic milestone, providing international travel options directly from the Ashanti Region for the first time.

The inaugural flight is scheduled to depart Gatwick Airport at 2:10 am and arrive in Kumasi at 9:05 am, offering passengers a streamlined travel experience between the two destinations.

This strategic initiative is poised to boost trade, tourism, and investment opportunities, enhancing economic ties between Ghana and the UK.

It also offers a convenient alternative for travelers in the Ashanti Region, eliminating the need to transit through Accra for international journeys.
