- GFA Sets August 20 Date for 32nd Ordinary Congress in Prampram
The Ghana Football Association has announced that its 32nd Ordinary Congress will take place on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
The annual statutory gathering is being held in accordance with Article 31(2) of the Association’s statutes and will bring together key stakeholders from across Ghana football to discuss the state and future direction of the game.
The Congress is expected to serve as a major platform for reflection, planning, and decision-making ahead of the upcoming football season. Discussions will focus on competitions, football development programmes, governance matters, and the long-term strategic direction of football in Ghana.
According to the GFA, all members of the Association have already been formally notified to allow adequate preparation ahead of the meeting.
A formal convocation containing the Congress agenda, activity reports, financial statements, and auditors’ report will be distributed to delegates before the event.
The full-day meeting will also provide an opportunity for the GFA Executive Council to engage directly with club representatives, technical officials, and other stakeholders on the progress made within Ghana football, while addressing key challenges facing the sport.
The Association has urged all delegates to prepare thoroughly for productive discussions as it continues efforts to strengthen and develop football at every level across the country.
The Congress comes at a crucial time for Ghana football, with preparations ongoing for the new domestic season and continued development initiatives involving the Premier League, Division One League, women’s football, youth football, and national teams.
