Ghana Link Network Services Limited (Ghana Link) the operators of the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS) wishes to inform all its stakeholders and the general public that effective Thursday, April 1, 2021, the system will accept both National Identification Number (Ghana Card) and the Tax Identification Number (TIN) for all customs processing.
This has become necessary as the government is replacing TIN with Ghana Card for all individuals.
To allow for smooth transactions and business continuity for all trade-related activity on the ICUMS, importers, exporters and freight forwarders with the TIN or the Ghana Card can use either of the two for their custom processes on the system.
Meanwhile, Companies TIN remain unchanged and should be used at all times when transacting or processing documentation on the ICUMS.
In a related development, stakeholders who do not have the Ghana Card are encouraged to visit the Long Room where the National Identification Authority has mounted a desk to issue Ghana Cards.
