Ghana FA confirms Black Stars friendly against Brazil
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed Black Stars will play a friendly match against Brazil before the 2022 World cup in Qatar.
The GFA and the Brazilian FA reached an agreement for the friendly following Confederation of African Football’s decision to postpone September matches in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The game will take place on Friday, September 23, 2022, at a yet to be decided venue.
This, according to the GFA “will give Coach Otto Addo the platform to continue the assessment of his players in the build-up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 finals in Doha.”
The Black Stars will play Portugal (November 24), South Korea (November 28) and Uruguay (December 2) while Brazil face Serbia (24 November), Switzerland (28 November) and Cameroon (December 2).
