Oil production from Ghana’s Jubilee and Tweneboa, Enyenra and Ntomme (TEN) fields is reported to have reached 300 million barrels of oil.
This was disclosed by Tullow Oil Ghana, operator of Ghana’s oil fields.
“We are proud to be part of Ghana’s remarkable Jubilee story, reaching 300 million barrels of oil produced from the Jubilee field is a significant moment for Ghana and for Tullow Oil,” read an excerpt of the statement issued in announcement of the milestone achieved in the nation’s oil production efforts.
Reports indicate that Tullow Oil Ghana and its partners; GNPC, Kosmos, Anadarko and Petro SA have invested a whooping $10.8 billion from 2007 to 2019 in oil production processes to achieve the significant milestone.
Tullow Oil Ghana thanked its stakeholders, partners, contractors, suppliers, its host communities as well as the Government of Ghana for the support given so far.
“This could not have been achieved without the hard work and dedication of our employees and contractors, support from and close co-operation with the government of Ghana and our partners,” the statement read further.
Tullow is a leading independent oil and gas, exploration and production group, quoted on the London, Irish and Ghanaian stock exchanges.
