Ghana Premier League top scorer Yaw Annor earns Togo national team call-up

Former AshantiGold SC forward and Ghana Premier League top scorer Yaw Annor has earned a call-up to the Togo national team ahead of this month’s international break.

Annor has been invited by Sparrowhawks head coach Paulo Duarte for their two international friendlies against Cote d’Ivoire and Equatorial Guinea.

Togo will take on Cote d’Ivoire on September 24, 2022 in Paris, France before taking on Equatorial Guinea three days later in Casablanca, Morocco.

The 24-year-old is eligible to represent the West African country through his Mother who is a full Togolese.

Annor was instrumental in the Ghanaian top-flight last season after finishing as the highest scoring player after netting 22 goals in 30 appearances.

He also won the man of the match awards on eight occasions following his impressive goal scoring form.
