Ghana stock market maintains upward rally; posts YTD returns of 54.23%
The Accra bourse on the opening trading session for the week improved from Friday as the benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) gained 23.49 points to close trading at 2,994.49 translating into a YTD return of 54.23%.
The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) however remained flat to close trading at 2,073.46 translating into a YTD return of 16.31%.
Scancom PLC (MTNGH) appreciated in price by GH¢0.02 to close trading at a new record high of GH¢1.32, translating into a YTD return of 106.25%.

Market capitalization, therefore, increased by GH¢245.81 million to close trading at GH¢65.63 billion representing a growth of 20.70% in 2021.
A total of 2,327,568 shares valued at GH¢3,111,171.07 was traded in nine (9) equities as MTNGh recorded the lion’s share of trades, accounting for 97.93% of the total value traded.
