The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) has called for calm ahead of the Electoral Commission’s (EC) declaration of the results of the just ended 2020 general elections.
The call by the Council follows, the massing up of supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the headquarters of the EC demanding for the immediate declaration of the results by the EC.
The Council via its press release on Wednesday, December 9, also called on the leadership of the two main political parties – NPP and NDC – to refrain from conducting press conferences to accuse one another of losing the elections, and allow the EC the needed space to deliver to Ghanaians “a credible, transparent and acceptable results.”
Meanwhile, the EC is expected to declare both the 2020 presidential and parliamentary results by the close of today.
