GPL: Hearts of Oak draw blank with Bechem United
Accra Hearts of Oak played hosts to Bechem United at the Accra Sports Stadium full of optimism for a second straight win in the Ghana Premier League to continue their gradual rise on the league.
Hearts were coming into the game at the back of a 2-0 win against Berekum Chelsea at the Cape Coast Stadium in a year they finally won the Premier League after ten years.
The game ended blank as Hearts of Oak and Bechem United failed to score on a day the Phobians returned to the Accra Sports Stadium after a supposed renovation works.
Hearts were not up to the task in the game but had their stars to thank as Bechem were even more wasteful with both sides sharing the spoils.
The result deems fit for Bechem who remain in the top four but not too good a news for Hearts who are now nine points behind leaders and fierce rivals Asante Kotoko.
Accra Hearts have two outstanding games to play against Medeama SC and the super clash with Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
