GSE: Benchmark index closes 60.29 points higher, posts 9.14% YTD returns for investors

GSE: Benchmark index closes 60.29 points higher, posts 9.14% YTD returns

The benchmark index of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE-Composite Index) gained 60.29 points to close at 3,416.22 points and posted a YTD return of 9.14% for investors.

The GSE Financial Stocks Index lost by 1.09 points to close lower at 1,994.37 points, bringing its YTD return to 4.88%.

MTNGH counter closed at GH¢1.55 (previously GH¢1.50). The trading session recorded a turnover of GH¢ 9,310,815.00 from 6,007,210 shares traded.

CAL counter closed at GH¢ 0.47 (GH¢ 0.48 previous). The trading session recorded a turnover of GH¢ 25,752.48 from 54,901 shares traded.

Market capitalization increased by 655.54 million to GH¢77.17 billion.

Monday’s trading session recorded a total turnover of GH¢9,348,126.04 (up 13792.21%) from the exchange of ten
(10) different counters.
