GSE: Benchmark indices post gains to increase market cap by GHS 239 million
The benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) gained 7.08 points to close trading at 2,818.89 representing a YTD return of 45.18%.
The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also gained 13.04 points to close trading at 2,089.94 also translating into a YTD return of 17.23%.
Due to the gains realized by the indices, market capitalization subsequently increased by GHS 239.55 million to close at GH¢64.14 billion representing a growth of 17.96% in 2021.

A total of 226,049 shares valued at GHS 230,749.47 was traded in twelve (12) equities, a decrease of 96.09% and 96.57% in volumes and values traded respectively compared to Friday’s trading session.
Ecobank Ghana PLC. (EGH) recorded the largest share of trades, accounting for 24.0% of total value traded.
