GSE-CI closes at 2,555.05 points; posts -8.40% YTD returns for investors

GSE-CI closes at 2,555.05 points; posts -8.40% YTD returns for investors

The Accra Bourse decreased by 1.79 points as the benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) closed at 2,555.05 points representing a YTD return [loss] of -8.40% in share prices.

The GSE Financial Stock  Index (GSE-FSI) also lost 3.26 points on the back of price drop in Cal Bank PLC. (CAL) to close trading at 2,193.03 points translating into a YTD return of 1.91%. 

Ten (10) equities traded today, ending with one (1) decliner.  CAL was the sole decliner as it lost GH¢0.03 to close trading at GH¢0.87 representing a YTD return of 0.00%.

Market Capitalization of the GSE for the day settled at GH¢62.28 billion.

A total of 25,094 shares valued at GH¢52,279.02 was traded  on the day. Benso Oil Palm Plantation PLC. (BOPP) accounted for 33.10% of the total value traded whilst Scancom PLC. (MTNGH)recorded the largest volumes traded.
