GSE-CI declined 39.30 points to close at 3,130 points; YTD return falls to 28.1%

The GSE-CI stood at 3,130.60 points, a marginal decline from the previous week’s 3,169.90 points.

Thus, its year-to-date return lowered to 28.10%.

The GSE-FSI similarly closed lower week-on-week declining by 77.96 points to record 1,918.99 points.

Placing its year-to-date return at -6.51%. Total market capitalization fell to reach GH¢73.81 billion.

Total volume traded was 13,769,553 representing a decrease from last week’s 53,501,184.

Total turnover similarly fell, recording GH¢46,292,324 as against GH¢70,267,160.49 for last week.

There were price movements with BOPP and GOIL, earning GH¢0.07 and GH¢0.05 to close at GH¢20.00 and GH¢1.50 respectively while EGL, GCB and EGH declined by GH¢0.02, GH¢0.10 and GH¢1.30 to end the week at GH¢2.39, GH¢3.40 and GH¢5.70 respectively.

Securing the top position in trading activity this week, GCB commands the charts posting a trading volume of 13,468,897 shares corresponding to a substantial GH¢45,804,777.40.

There were also trades across the finance and distribution sectors with GOIL, ETI and CAL being among the top five (5).
