GSE-CI declined 67.16 points to close at 3,063 points last week

The GSE-CI stood at 3,063.44 points, a marginal decline from the previous week’s 3,130.60 points.

Thus, its year-to-date return lowered to 25.35%.

The GSE-FSI similarly closed lower week-on-week declining by 12.28 points to record 1,906.71 points.

Its year-to-date return thus settled at -7.11%. Total market capitalization fell to reach GH¢73.08 billion.

Total volume traded was 2,959,504 representing a slump compared to the 13,769,553 shares traded the previous week.

Total turnover similarly fell, recording GH¢6,258,891.61 as against GH¢46,292,324.05 for the previous week.

The price movers for last week were FML which earned GH¢0.02 to close at GH¢3.04 while CAL, MTNGH, and EGH declined by GH¢0.01, GH¢0.05 and GH¢0.20 to end the week at GH¢0.50, GH¢1.35 and GH¢5.50 respectively.

Securing the top position in trading activity this week, MTNGH commands the charts posting a trading volume of 2,558,062 shares with a value of GH¢3,476,201.94.

There were also trades across the finance and distribution sectors with FML, GCB, and SIC being among the top five (5).
