GSE-CI gains 27.17 points WoW to close at 3,154 points

The GSE-CI stood at 3,154.48 points ending the week 27.17 points higher, delivering a year-to-date gain of 0.77% to investors.

The GSE-FSI saw also climbed 8.53 points week on week to end the week at 1,907.37 points.

Both indexes recorded weekly returns of 0.87% and 0.45% respectively.

The Top gainers of the week were UNIL, GLD and GGBL, all posting gains above GH¢0.50. ACCESS bank gained GH¢0.30 taking its closing price to GH¢3.70. EGH recovered GH¢0.01, returning its price to GH¢5.50.

The sole loser for the week was CAL which lost GH¢0.01 to close the week at GH¢0.45.

Total market capitalization improved marginally, ending the week at GH¢74.22 billion.

The week ended with a slump in total volume traded after 4,929,372 shares traded compared to 17,413,427 shares traded last week.

A corresponding decline was observed for total turnover which fell to GH¢7,974,511.20 as against GH¢13,570,945.39 last week.

MTNGH dominated the market with a traded volume of 4,202,578 shares, amounting to a value of GH¢5,882,786.00.

Trades also took place in the finance and manufacturing sectors, with ETI, CAL and UNIL ranking among the top five traded equities for the week.
