GSE-CI loses 28.05 points to close at 2,798.02 points

GSE-CI loses 28.05 points to close at 2,798.02 points

The benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) shed 28.05 points to close trading at 2,798.02 points representing a YTD return of 44.11%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) however, gained 13.05 points to close trading at  2,116.04 points also translating into a YTD return of 18.69%. 

Ecobank Transnational Inc. (ETI) gained GH¢0.01 to close trading at GH¢0.12 whilst Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) lost GH¢0.03 to close trading at GH¢1.13.

Market capitalization thus decreased by GH¢128.04 million to close at  GH¢64.26 billion representing a growth of 18.17% in 2021. 

In all, a total of 837,615 shares valued at GH¢935,917.87 was traded in twelve (12) equities as MTNGH recorded the largest share of trades, accounting for 96.2% and 95.1% of the total value and volume traded respectively.
