GSE-CI opens week with 3.91 point rise to close at 3,054.64 points; returns 24.99% YTD

The benchmark index (GSE-Composite Index) of the Ghana Stock Exchange recorded a marginal 3.91 point increase to close at 3,054.64 points, earning 24.99% YTD.

The Financial Stocks Index also remained constant, to close at 1,693.11 points, returning 15.80% YTD.

TOTAL earned GH¢0.38 to close at GH¢7.18. However, there were no decliners on this trading day.

As a result, Total market capitalization climbed by a marginal GH¢42.51 to close at GH¢72.92 billion.

The total volume of shares traded were 12,211 valued at GH¢ 26,424.38 across fifteen (15) equities. These represent slumps of 98.85% and 98.50% in volume and value traded respectively.

Scancom Plc. (MTNGH) maintained its position as most traded stock for two weeks, trading 5,028 shares valued at GH¢7,542.00 and representing 28.54% of the total value traded.

This was followed by EGH trading 2,035 shares valued at GH¢9,971.50. PBC recorded the least traded volumes among the top 5 traded equities with a turnover of GH¢14.00.
