GSE-CI records zero gain; returns 43.26% to investors

The Ghana Stock market recorded no points gain at the close of trading on  Wednesday.

There was no gainer or loser on the day, as a result, the  benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) closed at 2,788.57 representing a  YTD return of 43.62%. 

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also remained flat to close at  1,980.43 representing a YTD return of 11.09%.  

Market capitalization did not change as well and remains at GH¢ 63.47billion representing a YTD growth of 16.73% at the close of trading today. 

Also: Expert rates Ghana’s AfCFTA preparedness at 50%

Trade volume and value went up from previous trading session by  6.44% and 5.77% to 4,199,897 shares valued at GH¢ 5,235,421.92 respectively.

Seven (7) equities traded with Scancom PLC (MTNGH)  recording the lion’s share of trades in both volume and value as it accounted  for 99.76% of the total volume traded and 99.23% of the total value traded.
