GSE-CI rises 60.30 points to close trading at 3,129 points; returns 28.06% YTD

GSE-CI rises 60.30 points to close trading at 3,129 points; returns 28.06% YTD

The benchmark index (GSE-Composite Index) of the Ghana Stock Exchange closed on an improved front gaining 60.30 points to close at 3,129.56.

This represents a YTD return of 28.06%.

The GSE Financial Stocks Index closed 1.09 points lower at 1,904.53 points representing a YTD return of -7.21%.

Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) closed the session higher as it gained GH¢0.05 to close trading at GH¢1.40 per share
while Intravenous Infusions (IIL) earned GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢0.05.

CAL Bank PLC. (CAL) lost GH¢0.01 for second time in the week to close trading at GH¢0.48 per share.

Market Capitalization for the day was up 0.90% to settle at GH¢73.89 billion.

Overall, 2,243,696 shares (up 164.06%), valued at GH¢1,299,602.69 (down 65.90%) were traded today, with seventeen (17) stocks in total exchanging hands.

CAL trades dominated today’s trading session with a trade volume of 1,879,461 shares worth GH¢902,155.72.

The second most traded stock was MTNGH, which traded 269,057 shares valued at GH¢376,197.96.

IIL, ETI FML followed in the activity pile to complete the top 5 traded stocks on the day.
