GSE: Trust Bank Gambia records 5.71% price gain as market returns -0.84% YTD

GSE: Trust Bank Gambia records 5.71% price gain as market returns -0.84% YTD

Trust Bank Gambia Limited (TBL) emerged the sole gainer on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) at the end of Tuesday’s trading session.

The equity recorded a price gain of 5.71% adding GHS 0.02 to an opening stock price of GHS 0.35 thereby closing the stock market at a price of GHS 0.37.

The price appreciation of TBL stocks added GHS 4 million to the market capitalisation of the GSE ending trading at GHS 64.25 billion in Tuesday.

A total of 549,258 shares valued at GH¢ 588,622.16 were traded in nine (9) equities compared to 126,481 shares valued at GH¢ 125,747.21 which exchanged hands on the previous trading session with Scancom PLC. (MTNGH) recording the lion’s share of trades, accounting for 90.5% of the  total value traded.

Meanwhile, the benchmark the benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) gained 0.38 points for the  second trading day of the week to close at 2,765.84 representing a YTD  return of -0.84%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also gained 0.69  points to close trading at 2,153.68 also translating into a YTD return of  0.09%.
