Hasaacas Ladies edge out AS FAR to reach finals of CAF Women’s Champions League

Hasaacas Ladies made history after booking a spot in the finals of the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League after beating Morocco’s AS FAR by 2-1 in the first semi-final tie of the competition.

The Doo Ladies were the first team to reach the semi-finals after topping Group A with seven points from three games, they did that after two games with a game to spare.

Doris Boaduwaa got the opening goal for Hasaacas Ladies but that was not enough as Nadjat Badri got the equalizer at the final minutes of the first half as both teams went into the break tied 1-1.

The second half saw exciting build-ups from both sides but Hasaacas Ladies were awarded a penalty after a VAR check was made on a tackle by AS FAR goalkeeper on Evelyn Badu but Agyekum failed to convert as she struck the post.
