Hasaacas Ladies edge out AS FAR to reach finals of CAF Women’s Champions League
Hasaacas Ladies made history after booking a spot in the finals of the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League after beating Morocco’s AS FAR by 2-1 in the first semi-final tie of the competition.
The Doo Ladies were the first team to reach the semi-finals after topping Group A with seven points from three games, they did that after two games with a game to spare.
Doris Boaduwaa got the opening goal for Hasaacas Ladies but that was not enough as Nadjat Badri got the equalizer at the final minutes of the first half as both teams went into the break tied 1-1.
The second half saw exciting build-ups from both sides but Hasaacas Ladies were awarded a penalty after a VAR check was made on a tackle by AS FAR goalkeeper on Evelyn Badu but Agyekum failed to convert as she struck the post.

Evelyn Badu continued her fine form after scoring the winning goal which proved vital to the Hasmal Ladies as they edged out AS FAR.
The vibrant teenager connected to a cross deep inside the penalty box from Doris Boaduwaa and headed home to ensure the Ghanaian champions book a place in the finals on Friday.
She now has five goals to her name in the competition and is also the top scorer heading into the finals.
Hasaacas Ladies captain Janet Egyir was named the Woman of the Match after putting up a solid work in defence.
Hasaacas Ladies become the first team to qualify to the final and will be facing either of Mamelodi Sundowns or Malabo Kings which will be played later today.
The final will be played on Friday and the Hasmal Ladies will be going into this one with heads high after scoring 10 goals in the competition.
